Header-Footer allows to define rules under which a displayed Content Item will get a Header or Footer content added. This Headers and Footers are itself Content Items that will get inserted by the given ruleset. The rules define in which context of current Section, Category, Content Item, Author and Menus a heading or footing content will get added.

With Header-Footer any Content Item may get defined to be a heading or footing context for any of the other Content Items. The plugin will determine the current view context and then insert any Header or Footer content automatically. This for example allows to automatically add a description of the articles author, any additional information to all contents of a specific section or category, or whatever may come into your mind.

With the language support of Header-Footer, also language dependent rules may get defined, for example to show a notice that on articles which are not yet translated into the current shown language.

Header-Footer also allows to add heading or trailing content to specific views of a article, for example when being viewed as Print Page or PDF Page. With that you may make your print or PDF outputs of your content look even more professional than the default Joomla! look of these views allows to.
